This book is a collection of deeply personal poems, written by an author who defines herself simply as a woman who writes what she feels. The collection includes poems in both Spanish and English, exploring themes such as love (in all its forms), loss, death, motherhood, spirituality, nature, the meaning of life, and writing itself.
Many of the texts draw from intimate experiences: the grief of losing loved ones, nostalgia for one’s homeland, the longing for connection with God, the intensity of first love, the weight of memory. There is a reflective thread throughout, interwoven with a contemplative view of the natural world and the universe. A mature, sensitive, believing, and curious feminine voice emerges, one that dialogues with literary tradition (such as Dante or Cervantes) without academic pretension.
The tone is direct, simple, and emotional. The author does not seek to hide her vulnerabilities; on the contrary, she presents them as a vital part of her poetic identity.
The author succeeds in clearly conveying deep feelings that many share but few dare to put into words: the love that never was, the pain of absence, gratitude for friendship, anxiety in the face of the unknown, the beauty of simplicity.
In a world saturated with irony and artifice, this book opts for authenticity. The poetic voice addresses the reader like a confidant, embracing them and whispering: “I felt that too, that thing you don’t know how to say.”
Ideal for those who value poetry as an emotional and spiritual refuge. This is not a book to be read in haste or analyzed under an academic lens, but rather one to let its verses echo in memory and in the heart.
